The shastiabdhapurthy -61st birthday celebrations for His Holiness Jagadguru Shri Bharathi Thirtha Mahaswamiji was performed at Lingannapet from 7th to 12 th March 2011.
On the 7th the program started with offering of Guruprarthana at 7 a.m. followed by ganapathy pooja , Punyahavachanam and Nandhi samardhanam.This was followed by Maha Sankalpam and Ritvik Varnam for ritviks who were performing the Shata Chandi Homa.and purascharananarambham.
The chaturveda parayanam also commenced with chanting of all the four vedas by respective pandits .This was followed by krishna yajurveda swahakaram.
At noon the mahamangalaharathi was offered and thirtha prasadem was distributed to all the devotees.
At 7 pm in the evening the Ritviks commenced the chandi navakshari japam.The krishna yajurveda havanam also continued right from noon onwards with chaturveda parayanam.
around 8.30 pm the mahamangalaharathi was offered with offering of astha vadhana seva .Later on the thirtha prasadam was distributed.
The program was repeated in toto on the 8th , 9 th and 10th of March 2010 to complete the krishna yajurveda havanam, chaturveda parayanam with completing the chanting of the vedas and chandi navakshari japam by the ritviks

On the 11th the program stated with the offering of guruprarthana.A procession of the Guru padukas was taken round the village at 9 a.m.with large participation from the local crowd.

The Guru Paduka pooja commenced at 10.am and continued with vedic chantings from Vedic pandits and students of the Bharathi thirtha veda pathashala..

As a token of musical contibution , shri hariharan and his troupe from Ernakulam gave a musical concert .

The major event was the arrival of the Administrator and CEO of the Shringeri Sharadha peetham who participated in the function and gave a thought provoking speech to a very large audience who participated in the occasion
.Several leading political figures and Chief guests from TTD( Tirupathi Tirumala Devsthanams ) participated and spoke on the occasion.
Padmashri Gowrishankar , administrator and CEO of sringeri sharadha peetham gave an exemplary speech on how it is very important to keep faith in God and why it is important to study the Bhagawadgita

.He also made a distinction between who is a Guru and what qualities the Guru should have in order to bless the devotees and make them happy.He made a special mention that Andhra pradesh is the only place where the vedic heritage and traditions are still followed in toto with intense faith and devotion.He drew a parallel that 600 years ago Sage Vidyaranya of Sringeri math hailed from a place near warangal which is very near to Lingannapet.He also appealed to people to study the vedas and Bhagawadgita and benefit by it.

The yajurveda Havanam where the krishna yajurveda samhita homa was performed got completed with the offering of Poornahuti.Shri Gowrishankar witnessed the occasion.
special honours were conferred on the Musicians who gave a wonderful concert to celeberate the occasion
The mahamangalaharathi and thirtha prasadam was offered to the large section of people who participated and Annadhanam was also offered.
In the evening the shata chandi navakshari japam was offered with pooja to Goddess Durga.The astha vadhana seva and mangalaharathi was offered to complete the days events.The thirtha prasadam was distributed to the devotees.
On the 12th march 2011, the program commenced with Guruprathana and Shata chandi Agmi prathisthapana for conduting the shatachandi homa.

The Ritviks stated the shata chandi homa and completed the event by noon.

The grand poornahuthi was offered whtih mahamangalaharathi .
The suvasisi pooja was also performed for the suvasinis who had assembled there.
The event was completed with offering of thirtha prasadam and Ritvik Sambhavanam.
